Bova, Susan

-

1956 - 2021

Susan Lynne Bova, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home on September 14, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Sue was born to David and Janet Stine in Bloomington, IN, on July 28, 1956. She attended Parkside Elementary and Northside Junior High School before moving to Indianapolis where she was a graduate of Warren Central High School in 1974. In 1976, she moved to Columbus, OH, where she later met and married the love of her life Michael Bova, who is left to cherish her memory. Sue was a systems analyst for Anthem Insurance for over 36 years. She led initiatives that streamlined system migrations, created new provider network strategies and worked to achieve repeatable results. Her extensive systems knowledge along with operations experience made her a great resource for what could be achieved. Sue’s depth of knowledge and experience proved to be very valuable in her work as well as supporting and working with her co-workers. The loss of Sue will be felt deeply by so many. It was hard to not instantly fall in love with Sue’s laughter that was always accompanied with a knee slap, her giant personality, and her genuine care for others. Throughout her illness, no matter the pain she was feeling, she continued to put others

first. She cared for so many,

but none greater than her family. Sue was oftentimes the glue that kept everyone together. Traveling to visit family throughout Ohio and Indiana always brought a huge smile to her face. Watching her nieces and nephew grow into young adults brought her immense joy. She was most proud, however, of her two children and two grandchildren. There wasn’t a time where you would not see Sue playing Barbie’s or dress up, coloring, cooking and eating

imaginary food, or filling up

online shopping carts with toys and clothes! Making memories with the ones she loved was so important to her; even through those

final moments before God

brought her home. Sue will be missed by so many and what an honor and joy it was for those who knew her to call her wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, aunt, mamaw, and friend. Sue was preceded in death by her father David Lynn Stine and son Nicholas Bova. She is survived by her husband Mike Bova; son Matt (Molly) Bova; daughter Stephanie

(Gabriel) Lincoln; grandchil

dren Reece and Beckett Bova; mother Janet Stine; brothers David Lawson (Kim) Stine, Todd (Cheryl) Stine, and Brad (Natalie Olinger) Stine; nieces Alex, Madison, and Elinor Stine; and nephew Clayton Stine. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Final arrangements are under the care of the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral

Home. Gifts in honor of

Sue can be made to the American Heart Association (Toledo Processing, 118
