Thomas Noel Herritt, age 74, of Sunbury, died at home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born on February 12, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio. Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Annabel Zwick Herritt. He also leaves his daughter Jodi and son-inlaw, Tom Dreiling; son, John Herritt and daughter-in-law, Erin (Beck) Herritt. He was the beloved Papa of Camden and Peyton Dreiling and Lainey Herritt. He is survived by his brother, Richard Herritt and brotherin-law, Warren Cermak. He is also survived by several brothers-in law and sistersin-law, and the uncle to 26 nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Herritt, grandson Matthew Dreiling, sister Phyllis Cermak, and sister-in-law Katherine Herritt, brothers-in-law Robert Braud and Michael Zwick. Tom graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1965. He was a proud 4-year Navy Veteran who served on the USS Columbus. Tom was a captain on the Columbus Fire Department from 1973 until suffering a stroke on duty in 1990. He enjoyed watching Ohio State football and basketball and showing classic cars with his good friend Steve Littleton. While Tom was short on words, “You Know” he always had a lot to say.
