Marilyn J, Burton, age 84, of Grove City, OH, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Marilyn was born in Chillicoth­e, OH to the late Arthur Titus and Gladys Mable (Ault) Swatman. Marilyn graduated from Central High School. In 1987, Marilyn along with her husband and children, establishe­d Burton Metal Finishing, Inc and Powder Coating. She was the treasurer of the company from its founding until the early 2000’s. Marilyn maintained old school values of good-manners, respect, and faith in God throughout her life. She was a giving person as well as a caretaker for many family members who needed care. Family was her universe and being a mother was a true calling to her. In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Dallas, brothers Arthur Swatman, Jr and Larry Swatman, sisters Phyllis Haynes and Almeda Mccarty, brothers-in-law Edward Hunt, Bobby Burton (infant), and Donald Burton, sisters-in-law Mary (Dave) Fail and Doris Elkins. She is survived by her children, Dan (Deb) Burton, Scott (Renee) Burton, and Victoria Burton; grandchild­ren, Nathan (Sabrina) Burton, Danielle (Dustin Ford) Burton, Elizabeth Burton, Ryan (Emily) Burton, and Dallas Burton; great-grandchild­ren, Charley Jo Marilyn Burton and Brayden Holt; sister, Sharon Hunt; brother-in-law, Larry Mccarty; sister-in-law, Paige Swatman; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Marilyn was a special Nana to Levi and Johnny. Family will receive friends 4-8PM Friday, October 1 and 9-10AM Saturday at Schoedinge­r Grove City, 3920 Broadway, where her funeral service will be held 10AM Saturday, October 2. Pastor Christian Root officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery West.
