1930 - 2021
Patricia “Patty” Ann Ison (Vercellino), passed away early Friday morning, October
1, at Bickford of Worthington,
Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard
Gene Ison, her mother and father Beatrice Lakota and
Raymond Dominic Vercellino,
her brother Raymond
Dominic Vercellino, son
Stephen Richard Ison, and grandson Jonathan Richard
Ison. She is survived by three children, Cheryl Lynn
Ison, Pamela Ann (Chris)
Nye and Jeffrey Robert Pamela Jean Ison; seven grandchildren,
Matthew, Daniel, Alexandra,
Christian, Benjamin and
Olivia Ison and Lauren Nye; and one great grandson,
Cameron Richard Ison. Patricia
graduated from Upper
Arlington High School and
The Ohio State University where she earned a BS in
Business Administration, majoring in Retail Merchandising
and was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. It was while attending The
Ohio State University that Patricia met Richard “Dick” who was attending
The Ohio State University
College of Law at the time.
Patricia loved golf, tennis, platform tennis, snow skiing, bridge, oil painting, was passionate about the holidays and OSU Buckeyes,
loved her family and friends, entertaining, music and the arts, including the
Columbus Museum of Art,
Columbus Symphony, Jazz
Arts Group and CAPA (Columbus Association for the
Performing Arts). Patricia was a member of Worthington
Hills Country Club, First
Community Church, was a docent at the Columbus
Museum of Art, volunteered for Childhood League where she was a lifelong member of the Childhood
League Board, Buckeye
Boys Ranch, as well as serving on multiple other volunteer and charitable committees. Pat was kind and compassionate, had a wonderful sense of humor, was outgoing, talented, and accomplished. She will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends on
Thursday, October 14 from 3-5pm at Worthington Hills
Country Club, where appetizers and refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to
Childhood League, CAPA (Columbus Association for the Performing Arts) or the Columbus Museum of
