Cynthia was born October
6,1929 and passed peacefully on October 5, 2021, one day prior to her ninety-second birthday.
She is predeceased by her husband Sherrie, parents
Robert and Lucille Touvelle, brothers William and Robert
Touvelle, and son-in-law
Robert Kula. Cynthia was born and raised in Upper
Arlington, Ohio. She had an outgoing and engaging personality that she retained throughout her life.
Cynthia found a passion for swimming and diving and was awarded many medals in high school and
State University and was a member of and served on the board of Kappa Kappa
Gamma sorority. Cynthia was married to her husband, Sherrie Hickman, for 43 years. Their life together was everything she wanted: drinking their morning coffee, having conversations about current events, going on shopping excursions, and travelling the world. They shared a home together with their pet boxers, Max and Mindy, in
Dublin, Ohio and also had a second home in Delray
Dunes, Florida. Cynthia was a huge sports enthusiast.
She loved watching tennis, golf, baseball, football, and any and all Ohio State games. Above all, she loved spending time with family, which was always first in her heart. She loved hosting family, especially on Christmas morning when her home was fully decorated for the holidays.
Cynthia is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Kathy) and
William Jr. (Lisa) Khourie; and her daughter, Cristie grandchildren, Dustin and
Cameron (Kelcie) Khourie,
Robert (Ruthie), William (Crista), Jessica, Daniel (Breanna), and Jenna (Evan
Stamatoukos) Khourie as well as Michael (Samantha) and Tiffany (Samuel) Kula.
Surviving her are six great grandchildren, Nathan, Olivia,
Joseph, and Madison
Khourie, and Marley and
Summer Kula; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends young and old.
We will miss and love her always, and we thank her for her constant and unconditional love and support in our lives. Her love will remain with us always. Her family would like to thank the Forum at Knightsbridge and Ganzhorn Suites for making her final years more comfortable. A private celebration of her life will be held with family.
