DON’T MISS: “The Equalizer” – Coming off a solid first season, the popular crime drama returns just as Robyn Mccall (Queen Latifah) considers pulling the plug on her risky vigilante work. But you know that’s not gonna happen. Turns out that she’s pulled back in by a rather unlikely client – detective Marcus Dante (Tory Kittles). He needs her help to track down an untraceable group of bank robbers. (8 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS). Other bets:
SUNDAY: “Legends of the Hidden Temple” is a new, adult version of the Nickelodeon action-adventure game show that aired in the 1990s. But we’re pleased to see that there’s still a giant talking head stone named “Olmec.” (8 p.m., The CW).
SUNDAY: The new six-part documentary series, “Diana,” attempts to examine the life of Diana Spencer through a 21st century lens and reframe her story to discover the real woman behind the “People’s Princess.” Part 1 recalls Diana’s childhood and how a mutual desire for love and affection brought her and Prince Charles together. (9 p.m., CNN).
SUNDAY: As “NCIS: Los Angeles” kicks off its 13th season, Callen suspects Hetty of keeping secrets about his past and Joelle surfaces in her quest to capture Katya. All the while, NCIS must track down an informant whose life is in danger. (9 p.m., CBS).
MONDAY: The babysitters are back! Season 2 of “The Baby-sitters Club” picks up at the end of summer and business is booming as the new school year begins. Of course, there also are new relationships, new personal journeys, and important new life lessons to be learned. (Netflix).
TUESDAY: Wanna play? That demented killer doll from the “Child’s Play” slasher flicks makes his way to TV in “Chucky.” Franchise veterans join newbies in the series that sees an idyllic town rocked by a series of brutal murders that begin to expose its hidden secrets. (10 p.m., Syfy).
WEDNESDAY: It’s a night of super heroics as “DC’S Legends of Tomorrow” and “Batwoman” kick off new seasons. In the opener, the Legends find themselves stranded in 1925 Odessa, Texas, with a destroyed Waverider. Later, Batwoman continues doing everything she can to keep the streets of Gotham safe. (8 and 9 p.m., The CW).
WEDNESDAY: “The Sinner” returns for its fourth season with a new mystery to solve. Still traumatized from a previous case, the now-retired detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) travels to Hanover Island in Maine for a relaxing getaway. But he soon is drawn back into action when a tragedy involves the member of a prominent island family. (10 p.m., USA).
THURSDAY: As Season 2 of the charming sitcom “B Positive” begins, Gina and Drew are adjusting to life after surgery. While he develops romantic feelings for someone new, she gets surprising news about a friend’s death. (9:30 p.m., CBS).
FRIDAY: Think of the new unscripted series “Home Sweet Home” as a social experiment. Each episode follows two families from very different walks of life as they exchange homes for a week and explore a world unlike their own. Along the way, racial, religious, economic, geographic, gender and identity assumptions are challenged. (8 p.m., NBC).
FRIDAY: In this era of reboots and revivals, you had to know they’d finally get around to “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” The slasher-film franchise gets a makeover in a series set in a town “full of secrets.” (Amazon Prime).
SATURDAY: Oscar winner Rami Malek, currently starring in “No Time to Die,” hosts “Saturday Night Live” as the sketch comedy series continues its 47th season. Young Thug is the musical guest. (11:30 p.m., NBC).
