Glover “Dean” Bolden, age 91, born June 29, 1930 in

Parrott, GA, passed away

November 25, 2021. She accepted the Lord as her

Savior and was baptized many years ago. She served a great many roles as a tithing member of the

Smyrna Missionary Baptist

Church and most notably as one of the church’s founding members, under the leadership of Bishop Fred

L. Marshall, Pastor until age had prevented her from actively participat­ing. Dean was born and preceded in death by her father Caliph

Stephens and mother Edna

Miles, her siblings Rebecca

Martin, Ida Mae Holoman, and Tommie Frank Miles.

On February 16, 1970, she married William Bolden, Jr. who preceded her in death (2011). She worked at Mercy

Hospital and had 3 children; survived by her son,

James Arthur Whitehead and preceded in death by her two daughters Grace

Dean Smith (2002), and

Priscilla Mae Lipsey (2020).

Glover Dean Bolden is survived by her grandchild­ren, Monica Locke, James

Arthur Locke, Lamonte

Crenshaw, Mario Lawrence,

Joseph Whitehead,

Michelle Dean Whitehead,

Cecil Smith, Kim Smith,

Curtis Lipsey, Prentice

Lipsey, and Percy Lipsey II.

Dean Bolden where a viewing will take place on Saturday,

December 4, 2021 from 9-10am, followed by service at 10am. All visitors must wear an appropriat­e cloth face covering. Glover

Dean Bolden will then be laid to rest with a graveside ceremony in Glen Rest
