h Ilya Kaminsky: The poet and author of “Deaf Republic” and “Dancing in Odessa” will read from his work at 4:10 p.m.dec. 7, in Ohio Wesleyan University’s Benes Rooms of Hamilton-williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware. Kaminsky, born in Odessa, arrived in the United States in 1993 with his family. “Deaf Republic,” a book of poems, is set in a time of political unrest in occupied territory in an unspecified country. Artwork inspired by the book is on display beginning Dec. 7 in OWU’S Richard M. Ross Art Museum. The reading is free and open to the public. Masks are required. Go to www.owu.edu/english.
h Linda Gregerson, Richie Hofmann and Rajiv Mohabir: The poets, all published in the Kenyon Review, will read from and discuss their works with poet and Kenyon Review Editor Nicole Terez Dutton in a free online event at 7 p.m. Dec. 7. Gregerson’s new book of poems, “Canopy,” will be published in the spring. Hofmann’s second collection, “A Hundred Lovers,” is due in February. h Stephen Heyman: The author of the Louis Bromfield biography, “The Planter of Modern Life,” will appear in a free online event at 11 a.m. Dec. 8, presented by the Ohioana Library. With Ohioana Library Director David Weaver, Heyman will discuss the life of Bromfield, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, conservationist and celebrity whose Ohio home, Malabar Farm, was the site of the 1945 wedding of actors Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
