Connie Ruth Waite, nee Waldroup, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the presence of her family. She left from this world to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Connie passed away

after fighting the good fight against amyotrophi­c lateral

sclerosis (ALS) and Parkinson’s disease. She has now found true peace. Connie was born on October 13, 1952, in Batesville, IN, the

daughter of Frances and

Clifford Waldroup. Connie married the love of her life,

Alan T. Waite on May 26, 1973. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Alan T. Waite of Casanova, VA; son, Sean Waite and his wife, Sarah, and their 2 children of Burke, VA; son, Ian Waite and his wife, Kim and their two children of Ashburn, VA; sister, Pamela

Waldroup of Long Island;

sister, Judy Waldroup Lew

is-burns and husband, Greg

of Pataskala, OH. Connie is preceded in death by her

parents Clifford and Frances Waldroup of Oaktown,

IN. Connie graduated from Watkins Memorial High

School in Pataskala, Ohio in 1970 and maintained

lifelong friendship­s with

many of her classmates. Connie worked as a medical transcript­ionist for over 45 years in hospitals in WV,

OH, KY, CA and VA. During

the last few years of her ca

reer, she was in charge of

Medical and Birth Records

at INOVA Hospital Fairfax

in Annandale, VA. She was a wonderful people-lover, a gardener, loved music -

especially the oldies, was a foodie with a passion for

cooking and had the same

adventurou­s spirit as her

loving husband, Alan. After

both had retired, they sold their Burke, VA home of 23 years and traveled the country in their RV for 2

1/2 years before returning

to be near family and set up another beautiful home in Casanova, VA. Connie and her husband traveled

to Florida, out west to Arizona, and throughout the Midwest with loving stops

to visit friends and family in the Central Ohio, Oaktown, IN and Vincennes, IN areas.

In lieu of flowers, Connie’s

husband, Alan, has requested memorial contributi­ons be made to ALS Associatio­n Donations. A Memorial Service for Connie will be held on Saturday, May 7

at 1pm at Living Savior Lutheran Church, 5500 Ox Road, Fairfax Station, VA
