1929 - 2022

Mary J. Voris Clark, age 92 of Columbus, Ohio, recently of Harmony Trace Residences at Mill Run, died on Friday, May 6, 2022, Born in Vinton County, Ohio on September 30, 1929. Mary was a wonderful person who loved all kinds of people and loved serving others in her career life. She worked as a waitress in her younger years at the famous Blosser’s Restaurant in Logan, Ohio. She moved on with her career by becoming the Store Manager of Omar Bakery in Logan and then moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1974 where she held many jobs which included working at Reed’s Restaurant and then onto becoming the Store Manager at the Omar Bakery headquarters located in German Village. Mary also worked for the Voluntaries of America on South High Street just south of German Village as their Store Manager for quite a few years before retiring. Along her life’s journey she met many interesting people and made many friends. At retirement, Mary, the amazing cook that she was, was asked by Fr. Mccrory at St. Leo’s to become his cook up until St. Leo’s closed its doors. Mary is survived by her two sons, Fr. Francis

Voris, OFM CAP, Saginaw, MI, and Mark (Catherine) Voris of Columbus, Ohio; two granddaughters, Samantha (Chad) Newsome of Columbus, Ohio and Gabrielle Voris and Alex Lord (fiancé) of Scottsdale, AZ. Mary had many nieces and nephews and a loving family of friends. We thank National Church Residences, Hospice and Harmony Trace for taking great care of Mom. Family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43207.
