Rowe, Glenn

-

1968 - 2022

Glenn David Rowe, 53, died peacefully at home on June 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son James David Rowe, father Goble Rowe, stepfather James Miller, brother Greg Rowe, stepsisters Jean Cobb and Deborah Maynard. Glenn is survived by his loving mother, Mary Miller; and sister, Bernadette Rowe; god son, Owen Mitchell Fry; faithful canine companion, Zeus; friend, Dawn Mceneany; Dawn’s children, Sarah and Blaise; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Glenn joined the Columbus Police Department in 1995 and retired 9/6/2017. Glenn was also a member of the American Legion. Glenn enjoyed hunting, mainly deer hunting, fishing and enjoyed the open road riding on his Harley. The tears that dampen our eyes today are tears of home sickness, tears of longing for Glenn who we loved so very much. But it is we who are away from home, not Glenn. Death has been for Glenn a doorway to an external home where he will have a whole body and not have to suffer anymore. Death is not a separation, just a preparation for external union with those we love, especially his son, James, in the peace and joy of heaven. We should be ready to meet God at all times, since we have no promise of the next second. We should live, love and respect each other as if this second may be our last together on earth. Family extends heartfelt thanks to Capital City Hospice for their loving care and support during this

difficult time. Friends will

be received Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 11am1pm at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A
