Donald William Riley - 64 years of age passed away Monday, June 13, 2022. He was a US Army veteran and retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Correction­s. Don was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Heights High School. He is preceded in death by parents Don and Marilyn Riley, grandparen­ts, nephew Army Specialist – Joseph Riley (KIA Afghanista­n 2014) and great niece Mia Large. Survived by wife, Patricia; daughters and son-in-law, Misty Riley and Crystal and Chad Lytle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Michelle Riley, Scott and Alyssa Riley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn Cremeans, Tammy and James Graham; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,

Victor and Leslie Iddings; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Harry Mullins, Ronald Cain, Robert Jones, Lisa Iddings; also, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Don served our country faithfully and with pride as a young man. He was blessed with two beautiful daughters and his loving wife, Patty with whom he shared 32 happy years of marriage. Don trusted Christ as his Savior and attended Memorial Baptist Church and was active in small group and Bible study. Because of God’s love, Don was greeted in heaven by our Lord, and we will see him again. He was tough on the outside but had a tender heart. He loved God, country, family and friends and his dog, Buddy. Don was an avid sports fan and loved the Buckeyes, the Bengals and the Reds. Don was solid, reliable, and always willing to help someone in need. Don was loved and will be greatly missed. Viewing is Friday, June 17, from 2-3PM at Memorial Baptist Church, 2435 Eakin Road, Columbus with funeral service at 3PM. Donations to T2t.org (Tunnel to Towers) in his honor are appreciate­d.
