Foulk, Jane Ann
Jane was born to Ruth and Robert Wells, originally
from Greenfield, Ohio, on
March 4, 1945. Jane was
raised in Columbus, Ohio,
and graduated from Upper Arlington High School. Jane is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Jack Foulk. Jane has one daughter, Christy Schoedinger Coleman; and two granddaughters, Grace Rosenthal and Lily Rosenthal. Jane attended
Ohio University where she
studied interior design and journalism. Jane was very talented, fashionable, an incredible interior decorator, and loved entertaining. The only things in life she may have loved more were her dogs, cats, and horses. Jane’s career evolved around her interest in politics and people. A natural planner, a savvy strategist, and a believer in people and communities made her an ideal leader in development at the local and state levels. She held several top
positions in the Ohio Department of Development
under Governor James A. Rhodes, and worked
closely with Mayor Dana
(Buck) Rinehart in the City of Columbus, all of which was followed by her time with the Legal Aid Society. Jane was a philanthropist, volunteer, animal rights advocate, and civic leader.
In the last fifteen years she
made the lives of others
significantly more secure,
safe, and rewarding by her efforts across the state
of Ohio. She was a board
member of the Bethel Community Center in Lower
Putnam, Zanesville, Ohio;
and appointed as a mem
ber of the Ohio Arts Council
by Governor John R. Kasich. Jane worked with the Village
of Somerset to support community projects under the leadership of Mayor Tom Johnson. Visitation will be held Friday, July 1 at 9:45AM at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 56 South Main
Street, Thornville, Ohio.
Burial will take place following visitation at the Fairview
Cemetery in Ostrander, Ohio. Sincere thanks go
to Primrose Memory Care and Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care, both in
Lancaster, Ohio. Donations
