Jeffrey M. Cesner
Jeffrey Michael Cesner was born August 19th 1949 in Batavia New York. Around 1950 Jeff’s family returned to Columbus Ohio. Jeff would eventually graduate from Whetstone High school in 1967 and go on to work for the Ohio National Bank as a Business Teller where he met the love of his life Thea Theresa. Within a few years Jeff would begin his 32-year career as a Bailiff with The United States District court. Jeff worked for U.S. Magistrate Mark R Abel and eventually retired working for the Honorable John D Holschuh. Jeff was dearly loved by all who knew him. His dry sense of humor and ever optimistic outlook on life were strong attributes. Jeff never met a stranger and could match wits with anyone he encountered. Jeff leaves behind 2 children, Jeffrey Cesner II, and Alia Cesner,. Jeff also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Ace, Damian, Paige Strawser. Jeff also leaves behind a brother Charles (Janet) Cesner, sister Kristina (Gary) Marcum, close cousin Donald Morgan, several nieces and nephews, 3 brothersin-law and their families, and a Goddaughter Tami (Rodney) Beneker. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Charles H. Cesner Sr. and his mother Peggy E. Cesner, his wife Thea of 46 years, his in-laws William and Florence Anderson. Jeff was a regular attendee of Linworth Baptist Church and regularly participated in a long-time neighborhood Bible study hosted by Flora (Tete) Scono. Jeff will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Jeff was a wonderful and caring husband and father devoted to his family. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street in Worthington, and from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the Linworth Baptist Church, 6200 Linworth Road in Worthington, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00pm with Pastors Brent Miller, Pastor George Hattenfield Emeritus. and Pastor William Montgomery officiating, Entombment will be at Kingwood Memorial Park.
