John Stanley Scott

COLUMBUS - John Stanley Scott, age 73, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 5, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley George Scott and Louise Jessie Bell, brothers Nial Herbert Scott and Dick Trein, and son Robert John Scott. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Melody (Dee) Scott and beloved dog Baby, sister; Ruth Ann Dodson, sister-in-law; Linda Bettac, children; Tonya (Fred) Ervin, Annmarie Stonich, Danielle Scott, Brandy Beck, grandchildren; Josh Scott, Zach (Courtney) Scott, Coty (Jaime) Scott, Savannah Scott, Jake Ervin, Ashlyn Ervin, Sarah Stonich, Phiona (Danny) Gheen, Johnathon Scott, Brandon Slone, Breanna Slone, Trent Slone, Kassie Beck, Kadie Beck; great grandchildren; Zelda Kenney, A.J. Kenney, and Andrew Scott, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and previous owner of the old Shell gas station at Lane and High Streets. He retired from Speedway, Columbus, Ohio. He enjoyed playing euchre, camping, fishing, playing with his dog Baby and visiting with his family. He will be greatly missed! Services to be held at Spence-miller Funeral Home, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will be Friday, December 16 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17 at 10:00am with interment following at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
