Crime Stoppers offering cash reward for arrest of Hilltop shooter

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for the arrest of a suspect who shot a man in Hilltop in December.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in the location and arrest of Antoine Pruitt, who is wanted after he shot a male victim four times in the Hilltop neighborho­od.

On Dec 18, Columbus police responded to 310 S. Eureka Avenue on a report of nine gunshots being fired and detected by Shotspotte­r, according to Crime Stoppers. While on the way, officers were informed that an individual had been shot and was lying in the street near that address.

Responding officers found the victim suffering from four gunshot wounds, according to Crime Stoppers. During the investigat­ion, the victim informed police that he was being walked to an unknown location by Pruitt to be assaulted.

The victim stated that as they approached the intersecti­on of Fremont Street and South Eureka Avenue, Pruitt took out a handgun and shot him multiple times. Pruitt then fled south from the scene.

Pruitt, 33, of the Hilltop, is wanted for felonious assault and is considered to be armed and dangerous. He is described in court documents as a 6foot-2 Black man weighing 205 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any informatio­n leading to Pruitt’s arrest or indictment.
