COLUMBUS - Margaret Louise “Marlou” Brown passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her caring family. She was born February 28, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Clarence and Margaret (Seaburger) Theado. She attended Rosary High School. On August 18, 1956, Marlou married Frank J. Brown. Together, they were members of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clintonvil­le. Marlou is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Kevin) Alexander and Sharon (Steve) Christense­n; two sons, Kenneth (Amy) Brown and Richard Brown. She was blessed with nineteen grandchild­ren; and eighteen great grandchild­ren.

Marlou was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frank Joseph Brown (2013); and her eldest son, Thomas (Cindy) Brown.

Marlou worked as secretary at Immaculate Conception School and Bishop Watterson High School for many years where she was loved by everyone. Her connection with others was evident by her cadre of friends at Watterson, bowling league and Clintonvil­le neighbors. Marlou had a passion for baking and the family always looked forward to her Christmas treats. In addition to her devotion to her family, Marlou enjoyed traveling, books and doing puzzles. Marlou had an infectious smile that brought joy to everyone she encountere­d. She will be missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 North Broadway, Columbus. Entombment will follow at Resurrecti­on Cemetery, 9571 High Street, Lewis Center, OH. Calling hours will be held at the EGAN- RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus on Wednesday, May 10, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tuition Assistance Fund at Bishop Watterson High School, 99 East Cooke Road, Columbus, OH 43214.
