BEXLEY - Sharon Lee Kahn Cohodes, 84, Bexley, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on May 20, 2023. Sharon suffered from a long battle with dementia and received loving care from her caregivers, especially Marianne Moras who was with her for eleven years. Sharon was born March 20,1939 to Therese and William Kahn. She grew up in Bexley and graduated from Bexley High School, Class of 1957. She went on to further her education at the University of Michigan and The Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Sharon was married to Robert L. Cohodes and they welcomed three children during their marriage. Sharon worked as a realtor in Columbus. She was a huge supporter of the arts: Columbus Museum of Art, Balletmet, Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Columbus Metropolit­an Club. She was a member of Temple Israel, the Temple Israel sisterhood, and sang in the choir which gave her much joy. A proud member of Winding Hollow Country Club, Sharon was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing throughout the Columbus tennis community. She was a devoted mother to her three children. A life-long Bexley resident, Sharon loved her home. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Therese Stern Kahn, father, William V. Kahn, and step-mother, Dorothy Blank Kahn. She is survived by her three children, daughter, Teri Lee Cohodes Morof of Birmingham, Michigan, son, Andrew Bradley Cohodes (Fanny) of Columbus, Ohio and daughter, Jane Emily Cohodes, of Columbus, Ohio; grandsons, Joseph (Joey) William Morof and Niki Rohani; step-brothers, Dr. Harley Blank, Ronald (Beverly) Blank, Dr. Barry Blank, Dennis (Janet) Blank; and sister-in-law, Glenda Blank. She is also survived by her dear extended family, loved ones, and friends. Graveside service will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, May 24 at Green Lawn Cemetery - Temple Israel section, 1000 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon following graveside service at Temple Israel, 3100 E Broad Ave, Columbus. Shiva will be from 5-7pm, Wednesday, May 24 at Temple Israel.
