PLAIN CITY - Barbara Jean (Ebright) Sullivan, 81 of Plain City, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was born March 29, 1942 in Watkins, Ohio and was a 1960 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School. Preceded in Death by her husband Ronald “Pipe” Sullivan Jan. 13, 2008; son William Michael “Sully” Sullivan Dec. 3, 2018; parents Forrest “Shad” Ebright and Savilla “Peggy” (Littler) Ebright; brother James Ebright; in-laws Walter and Margaret Sullivan; brother-in-law James Sullivan; nephew Mark Sullivan; and niece Debbie (Sullivan) Sparks. Survived by son John P. Sullivan; sister Kathy (Ebright) Hunt; special nephew Anthony (Diana) Sullivan and their children: Connor, Kira, Cayden; adopted daughter Loretta (Wellman) Ducommun (Jody); adopted grandchild­ren: Tristin, Harrison, Emerson and Melina Ducommun; two nieces: Johnna (Greg) Prince and Kim (Al) Eaches; many other in-laws, nieces and nephews, great and great-great and cousins; good friends: Rosemary Stowers, Patty Devereaux, Sue Harmon and Barb (Blanton) Jones; and special neighbors: Betty & Phil Partee. She will be greatly missed by her special pet companion Penny (dog) as well as Scooter and Kiki (cats). Barb retired from Liebert (Emmerson) Corporatio­n after 24 years of service. She was a devout OSU Buckeye football and basketball fan. She also loved to play on the computer and on Facebook and email. Family will receive friends Friday August 4, 2023 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Ferguson Funeral Home, Plain City where the service will be held 10 am Saturday August 5. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City following the service. Pastor Phil Conrad will conduct the service. Memorial contributi­ons may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
