Betty Mckown (Bigler)

Betty Mckown, age 97, passed away on February 27, 2024. She was born on November 24, 1926, in London OH to Helen and John Tingley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all her siblings, having been very close to Mary, Dorothy, and Margie. Predeceased by husband, Robert M. Mckown. She is also preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Paul E. Bigler, Sr. Surviving Betty are her children Joann Bigler, Donna (Jim) Wolf, and Paul (Beth) Bigler, as well as her grandchildren Michelle Karshner, Tom Karshner, Mike (Robin) Wolf, Dan (Ashley) Wolf, Pat (Beth) Wolf, Amanda Brunswick, and Joe Bigler; great-grandchildren Tyler (Sammie) Bowens, Haile Cruz, Hayden Cruz, Jenna Wolf, Dominic Wolf, Evan Wolf, Mia Wolf, Josh Wolf, and Addy Brunswick; and two greatgreat grandchildren, Loralei and Arlo Bowens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Betty’s immediate family would like to thank her niece, Jeri, for her love and support; the extended Bigler family, which remained an important part of her life; and a special thank you goes to our friends in “The Circle”. Finally, we want to thank the staff at the Ashford of Sturbridge and Mount Carmel Hospice for their wonderful care of mom. Calling hours for Betty will be on Friday, March 1 from 3-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, 4475 Dublin Road. Burial to follow at Joseph Cemetery.
