Patrons can sit within a rink as the “rollergirls” of Memphis Roller Derby whirl around their chairs. As Martin describes it, with old-school ballyhoo: “Lose yourself in bone-crunching, body-slamming, speeddemon derby action, both on the screen and wheeling right in front of you!” Oct. 22-23 — Spooky Cinema: A Kids Halloween Movie Marathon! Movies will include “Monster House” (2006), “Hocus Pocus” (1992), “The Addams Family” (1991), “Gremlins” (1984) and “The Monster Squad” (1987). The room will be transformed into a kid-friendly interactive haunted house, and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and episodes of “Goosebumps” will be shown between features. Nov. 12-13 — World of Wonka!: This “45th anniversary interactive tribute to the original classic” will include two screenings of “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” (1971), with the animated “James and the Giant Peach” (1996) in between. “Wonka” will be enhanced with audience singalongs, shifting sets for a “shadow cast,” and “interactive candy,” in which actors costumed as “OompaLoompas” will pass out candy for patrons to eat in tandem with the characters in the movie.
