New CEO named at St. Francis

JEREMY CLARK, a Tenet Healthcare insider, is the new chief executive officer of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett, Tenet announced Tuesday.

He succeeds Kem Mullins, who quit earlier this year to join WellStar Health System in Atlanta.

Clark previously served as vice president and chief of staff to Trevor Fetter, Tenet president and CEO. Before that, Clark was chief operating office at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Before Clark joined Dallasbase­d Tenet in 2004, he worked with Merit Health Systems and Blue Cross and Blue Shield Associatio­n in Washington, D.C.

New Symphony chairman

Michael A. Edwards has been named board chairman of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Edwards, president and chief operating officer of Paragon National Bank, succeeds Paul Bert, who is completing his two - year term.

Edwards was with First Tennessee Bank for 30 years before joining Paragon this year. He is a graduate of Rhodes College and is on the board of the Orpheum and the Shelby Farms Park Conservanc­y.

Other new members of the MSO board are Pam Guinn, chief financial officer for St. Mary’s Episcopal School, and Nancy Coe, senior vice president and financial adviser at Dominion Partners.

Gordon joins IP board

Illene Gordon has been elected to the board of directors of Memphis-based Internatio­nal Paper Co.

Gordon, 58, is chairman, president and CEO of Ingredion Inc., a publicly traded global ingredient solutions company, a job she has held since May 2009.

She has also served as president and CEO of Rio Tinto’s Alcan Packaging.

With her election, the IP board now has 10 members.

ServisFirs­t adds exec

Stephen H. Shelton has joined Birmingham-based ServisFirs­t Bank as senior vice president for correspond­ent banking in Tennessee.

Shelton will be based in Memphis, where he was vice president in First Tennessee Bank’s correspond­ent services department.

ServisBank, founded in 2005, is the seventh-largest bank in Birmingham, holding about $948 million in customer deposits.

New Madison Hotel GM

The Madison Hotel in Downtown Memphis has named Angie Hines as general manager.

She succeeds Mohamad Hakimian, previous managing partner, who has stepped down as on-site manager to pursue other projects with his management company, Unison Hotel Company Inc. Hakimian continues his ownership in the hotel.

A Louisiana native, Hines comes to the Madison from Hotel Indigo Gold Coast in Chicago, Ill., another hotel operated by the ownership group that owns Madison Hotel along with Hakimian.

She took the position May 1, which marked the tenth anniversar­y of the hotel.
