We decided to take a leap of faith and open my dream art studio. I have a business degree from the University of Memphis and I have had a lifelong love for art. Our studio offers children’s classes and adult paint parties.
What makes your job unique: We are an openly Christian business and plan to allow that to guide our business ventures. I am a young mom and my main teacher, Candice, is also a young mom. Career highlights: I worked as a project manager for POP Solutions Group in Germantown. I ran millions of dollars in sales and projects for companies such as Hilton Worldwide and FedEx. I loved the creative aspect of planning the projects.
Most satisfying career moment: Deciding to go out on my own and use my creativity and background to open the art studio.
Career advice: Trust in the Lord and pray about everything. If something doesn’t work out then it wasn’t in his plan.
Person most admired: My grandmother. She was the highest-paid woman in Fayette County at one time while working at Troxel. She worked her way up from being a secretary. She is a very smart business woman while still maintaining her honesty and integrity. She taught me to never give up and work hard.
