ATTORNEY: HUNTER DIDN’T SUCKER PUNCH
The attorney for Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter says his client didn’t sucker punch anyone outside a Virginia Beach bar.
Prosecutors say Hunter punched a man twice inside a bar in Hunter’s hometown on the Fourth of July weekend before a brawl ensued. Prosecutors say Hunter then sucker punched the man outside on a sidewalk while he was bent over and bleeding. Prosecutors say the man’s jaw was broken and he had to be taken to a hospital. Hunter turned himself in to police on July 20 and was released on bond the following day. Hunter’s attorney, Toby Vick, said Monday that Hunter was not the aggressor in the fight. He says witnesses can corroborate Hunter’s story.
