Park will expand

Officials at Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee, say a planned $500,000 Children’s Discovery Garden will be the largest expansion since the $100 million tourist attraction opened in November 2013.

The winding pathway, outdoor musical garden, landscape sculptures, perennial gardens, a sensory garden, a stream and an amphibian display are expected to be finished in early 2017. Since opening, the park has had more than 718,000 visitors.
