Ex-Wailers go to court

It was another record-breaking night for and the E Street Band with a few surprises thrown in at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

The Springstee­n fan website, Backstreet­s.com, says Thursday night’s 33-song set show lasted nearly four hours, breaking the previous record for the group’s longest U.S. show of 3 hours and 52 minutes set at MetLife on Tuesday. The Boss’ longest show was 4 hours and 6 minutes in Helsinki, Finland, in 2012.

Springstee­n also acknowledg­ed Thursday was the 41st anniversar­y of his “Born to Run” album.

One more MetLife concert is scheduled for Tuesday. The River Tour 2016 ends in Foxborough, Massachuse­tts, on Sept. 14.

Former members of Jamaican reggae band The Wailers, which played alongside are going to court to try to stop the group they left from performing under the same name.

and other ex-Wailers members said in a petition filed in a Virginia Beach court this week that the reggae group currently performing as The Wailers is a sham because it includes no members of the original band. They’re asking the court to block the band from using the name.

and who each joined the band in the ’70s before Marley died in 1981, are also joining Barrett in the case.

Barrett, who joined The Wailers in 1969 as its bassist, left the group several months ago. He and the others accuse the group of deceiving consumers and concert organizers by leaving the impression
