Matt Adams hit a tworun homer in the first inning for Memphis in his first game on an injury rehab assignment from the St. Louis Cardinals.

The game was delayed for 14 minutes at the start because of a rainstorm earlier in the day.

The Redbirds’ final regular-season homestand continues with a 6:35 game tonight, featuring postgame fireworks, Memphis Chicks Night with a replica jersey giveaway, Teacher Appreciation Night theme ticket, and an auction of Chicksthemed jerseys.
