Law firm relocating from Central Station
Hagwood Adelman Tipton law offices are moving Nov. 1 into the former Railway Express Agency building on South Main Street as part of the $55 million redevelopment of Central Station.
The firm has been inside Central Station since it was founded by Rebecca Adelman in 2001. The building is being converted into a boutique hotel and new apartments.
Adelman, who specializes in insurance defense litigation, said, “We feel very fortunate to be growing the firm in the historic and beautiful REA space at Central Station, just down the block from where we are now.” The REA was set up in 1917 to provide small parcel and package transportation by railroad.
Alex Turley, vice president of real estate for Henry Turley Co., one of Central Station’s master developers, said the law office meets a goal of having a mixture of uses.
