Sidney Shlenker has asked a bankruptcy judge to put his companies back in the business of managing and developing the downtown pyramid arena. Shlenker said his companies were not in default of their contract with Memphis and Shelby County and that the companies are prepared to fulfill all their obligations under that contract. The city and county, which are building the pyramid, declared the Shlenker companies in default of their contract in June, in effect ousting them from any role in the pyramid.
