City records 50th homicide of year

The city of Jackson recorded its 50th homicide of the year Friday.

Police say a body found Friday in a vehicle behind a credit union brought the city’s death count to that number.

The Clarion-Ledger reported the male victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Police say two suspects were seen running from the crime scene about 8:20 a.m.
