Tiger senior corner aiming for redemption

Earlier this week, Memphis cornerback Arthur Maulet posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a six-word caption: “This One Is Personal This Week.”

Today’s game against Bowling Green at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium is particularly meaningful to the senior cornerback because of what happened when the teams met last year at Doyt Perry Stadium. Playing in just his third Division I game, Maulet sealed a 44-41 win for the Tigers with a leaping fourth-down pass breakup in the fourth quarter. But he was also on the wrong end of two 60-plus-yard touchdown passes and struggled to contain wide receiver Roger Lewis.
