Watson wins for U of M men

U of M junior men’s tennis player started his year with a win over No. 34-ranked

of Alabama 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to start the Alabama Four-in-the-Fall event on Friday in Tuscaloosa. Watson’s win was one of five for the Tigers against the Crimson Tide, four in singles.

Memphis freshman defeated Alabama’s 6-1, 6-4, and fellow freshman downed Alabama’s 7-6 (4), 6-4. Tiger sophomore beat 6-4, 6-3. In doubles, Memphis’ Palleres Monreal teamed with sophomore to down Kruunenberg (Alabama) and (Tulane) 8-4.
