Twitter account is identical to the one issued to the paper, except for the last line which says, “Lauren Loeb is not an employee at the Greater Memphis Chamber.”

Meek told a reporter that Loeb left weeks before the recording was made earlier this month.

On the recording, a man and woman call a restaurant at a resort to report the woman had left her cell phone there. The lengthy conversation is dominated by racial slurs and profanity.

Loeb’s Twitter account and LinkedIn page had been removed Friday morning as were references to her employment on the Chamber’s site. A cached Chamber web page from Dec. 28 lists Loeb as the chamber’s membership programming and services director.
