Parading down Beale Street

You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy the 45th annual “Silky O’Sullivan St. Patrick’s Day Parade,” set to roll down Beale Street starting at 3 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day. Hosted by the Beale Street Merchants Association, the parade is one of Memphis’ oldest-running events, and will feature bands, dancers, floats and more (but not the miles-long snake of human revelry that characterized the March 17 “Pub Crawl” of dipsomaniacal days gone by).
