add at least one more post player to next year’s team, and Maurice could fill one of those slots. With East point guard Alex Lomax, Hardaway’s son, Jayden, and Harris now in the fold as recruits, Memphis has three available scholarships left to use ahead of Hardaway’s first campaign as head coach.

But he’ll also get a chance to speak to some potential pieces for the future in the coming days.

Hardaway is reportedly slated to conduct an in-home visit with New Jerseybased teammates Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis on Sunday. He will also meet with forward Matthew Hurt of Minnesota and forward Trendon Watford of Birmingham, Ala., at their homes next week.

All four players are considered fivestar recruits and among the top 15 overall prospects in the 2019 class by most G Jayden Hardaway 2020 F Cameron Mathews South Dakota G Matt Mooney (grad) major recruiting services. They each also have ties to Mike Miller, who is expected to be officially announced as an assistant coach under Hardaway soon.

The Tigers have eight open scholarships heading into the 2019-20 season, which is why Hardaway is planning for a huge haul in the 2019 recruiting class.
