Smith was found dead inside a Nissan on March 28 when officers responded to a shots fired call on Cognac Cove and Bordeaux Lane off Riverdale and Shelby Drive.

Bell admitted to homicide investigators that he killed Smith and tried to kill the other man in the car because they were following his car in their vehicle for several blocks, according to an arrest affidavit.

Porter was arrested on April 12 when police found him also driving a stolen car. He told police he was one of the gunmen involved in the fatal shooting of Smith and attempted to kill the other man in the car. His bond was set at $300,000 bond.

Police said Bell and Porter were two of three gunmen involved in the shooting. No other arrests have been made in the homicide.
