Sweden’s public broadcaster said police in Oman have conducted two autopsies on the body of Grammynominated electronic dance DJ Avicii, who died Friday at 28.
Public broadcaster SVT, citing information from an anonymous police official in Oman, reported Sunday that the autopsies revealed nothing suspicious and that foul play has been ruled out in the performer’s death. The broadcaster said the body has been cleared to be taken back to Avicii’s native Sweden, where he was born as Tim Bergling. Fans in Stockholm observed a minute of silence in his honor Saturday.
Swedish tabloid Expressen said Avicii stayed at the Muscat Hills Resort while vacationing in Oman. Expressen reported he spent time with friends, went kitesurfing and enjoyed the country so much that he was planning to stay a few extra days.
Macaulay Culkin tells Ellen he avoids watching ‘Home Alone’
Macaulay Culkin avoids watching his “Home Alone” movie. Appearing Monday in a taped segment on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the 37-year-old actor joked that fans often ask him to recreate his face from the 1990 film, and he won’t oblige.
Culkin said he tries not to leave his house around Christmas because the movie plays throughout the holiday. He called it “background radiation at Christmastime” and said he “can’t watch it the same way other people do” because he remembers what was happening behind the scenes on the set.
