Yes, that is indeed Elvis’ granddaughter you see in the HBO film “Paterno.”

Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and first husband Danny Keough, plays reporter Sara Ganim, who broke the story of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal at Penn State University.

Keough’s acting job in the film — which premiered on HBO earlier this month and is still playing — is generally well-received. Some reviewers note the story, though not Keough’s performance, is a bit cluttered as it switches between Paterno, played by Al Pacino, and Ganim.

The real-life Ganim, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her coverage of the story for The PatriotNews newspaper in Harrisburg, Pa., was a consultant for the film.

Keough told etonline.com she enjoyed playing the role of a powerful young woman who was able to make a major difference.

“It’s incredible a young woman was essentially able to break this story,” Keough said. “That was amazing what she did. She kind of took down this empire and it was a very crazy thing to do.”

Keough, 28 is the eldest grandchild of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. Her film career includes a 2010 acting debut as Marie Currie in “The Runaways.” Other roles, according to imdb.com, have included “The Good Doctor” (2011), “Jack & Diane,” (2012) and “Magic Mike” (2012).

Keough’s performance in “Paterno” has gotten a thumbs-up from fans on social media.

Keough has spent time at Graceland, often returning for Christmas and other special occasions. She joined Priscilla, Lisa Marie and Elvis’ other grandchildren to cut a cake at Graceland on Presley’s 80th birthday in 2015.
