CBS knew for years about Charlie Rose misconduct, report says

Over a span of three decades, CBS managers were warned three times about Charlie Rose’s behavior, The Washington Post reported Thursday morning.

Rose was fired from CBS and his self-titled program dropped from PBS in November after a report of alleged sexual misconduct claims by several women.

Rose served as co-host of “CBS This Morning” and contributed to “60 Minutes.”

The Post reports that an additional 27 women, 14 of whom worked with Rose at CBS News and the remaining who worked with Rose in other environments, have accused the journalist of sexual harassment.

Managers were made aware of Rose’s actions first in 1986 and more recently in April of last year, the Post reported.

CBS News denied having human resources complaints about Rose. Rose denounced the Post’s new story, telling the newspaper, “Your story is unfair and inaccurate.”
