Warner Bros. Records has announced a new Prince album on what would have been the musician’s 60th birthday.
The company said Thursday that “Piano & A Microphone 1983” from Prince’s storied vault will be released Sept. 21 on CD, vinyl and digital formats.
Warner Bros. says the album features Prince working through nine tracks in a private rehearsal recording at his now-demolished home studio in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen. Among the songs are “17 Days,” Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You,” “Strange Relationship,” “International Lover” and “Purple Rain.”
Also included is Prince performing the spiritual “Mary Don’t You Weep.”
Bill Murray’s food truck park to open this summer in SC
Comedian Bill Murray’s longplanned food truck park in South Carolina will open its doors this summer.
The Charleston Post and Courier quotes Murray and his two partners as saying The Container Bar will start serving customers later this summer. The food truck hub will be at a former Charleston office building that’s been redesigned.
Murray and his partners, Brad Creger and Mike Veeck, opened a Charleston restaurant in an abandoned gas station several years ago. Creger said the three have since purchased most of the surrounding lots and are moving forward with the food truck project.
The project was initially called Food Truck-O-Rama, but Creger said it’s now The Container Bar.
