Germantown sign bandit?

A recent letter writer bemoaned the fate of candidates running for public office in Germantown.

According to the writer, nefarious persons had removed about 100-plus campaign signs from his neighborhood in the dark of night. I find that extremely hard to believe as I don’t think there is a neighborhood out here that can boast of 100-plus campaign signs of any kind.

I can’t help but think that in today’s world, there would have been someone peering out a window with camera in hand or a security camera on a home that would have caught the perp in action.

The writer must have been overcome with the seriousness of the offense and been infected with the Fake News bug so prevalent today. I guess we’ll be subject to this kind of nonsense

Police cams turned on?

Months ago the city of Memphis told us we needed cameras on each police officer to protect the officer and citizens.

I can’t remember one time we have seen any indication that these cameras work or our monies were well spent. Sky cams seem to work well. Are they on or off?
