Here are the five things you need to know about Week 7 of Memphis-area high school football.

Lausanne wins close game at ECS

Lausanne (6-0, 3-0 DII-AA) pulled off a 42-34 road win over Evangelica­l Christian School (5-2, 2-2). Heading into halftime, it looked like Lausanne was on its way to a blowout victory., but in the second half, Evangelica­l Christian school scored 21 points and held the potent Lausanne offense to 14 points. It was a valiant effort, but the Lynx were too much for the Eagles in the end.

Michigan commitment Eric Gray rushed for 192 yards and 3TDs on 25 carries for Lausanne. Cameron Sims picked off two passes for the Lynx. Sky Forest rushed for a touchdown and went completed 12-16 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown. Jaylon Johnson hauled in 7 catches for 113 yards.

Christian Brothers RBs get the job done against Briarcrest

Christian Brothers (6-1, 1-0 DII-AAA) running backs Al Wooten and Will Ruth came up big in a 17-14 road win over Briarcrest (5-2, 0-1) .

"With the run game, you've got to be patient. We talk about it all the time," said Christian Brothers coach Thomas McDaniel. "You've got to continue to hammer the ball and great things will happen. You've got to trust what we're doing, and eventually it will pop."

Wooten scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 56-yard run with 11:38 remaining in the fourth quarter, snatching the lead from Briarcrest just 22 seconds after the Briarcrest's Will Cummings ran back a blocked punt for a touchdown.

Ruth went endzone to endzone on a 94 yard touchdown run in the first quarter that tied the game at 7-7.

The result of the game came down to the kickers as Christian Brothers' Ethan Fitschen nailed a 33-yard attempt in the second quarter. Briarcrest's Noah Grant missed a 36-yarder in the third quarter.

Germantown, Memphis Central stay undefeated

Germantown (7-0) broke Henry County's six-game win streak and extended their own with a 31-21 road victory. Quarterbac­k Ethan Payne threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

This was a strong out-of-conference win for the Red Devils. Next week they take on White Station in an important region game.

Memphis Central (6-0) beat Colliervil­le 37-20. Colliervil­le (3-4) was the first team all season to put up ten or more points against the Warrior defense. Memphis Central will try to keep its streak going next week against Whitehaven (5-2), which has won its last two games 111-0.

Fayette Academy's Reid Holland scores TD No. 50

Fayette Academy (6-0) crushed Zion Christian 55-14 and running back Reid Holland picked up his 50th career touchdown in the road victory. They'll play undefeated Davidson Academy (6-0) out of Nashville next.
