The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. Proverbs 13:14

Dean, Lee and gay marriage

I think Bill Lee is a fine man running for Governor. Karl Dean seems like a smart guy. But I have not heard either one say what he thinks about marriage between two men or two women. What will each one do about this as governor; but also, I want to know what they both believe. Would they perform such a marriage as governor, if asked by someone important to them?

End the Electoral College

The current Electoral College system enabled five of our 45 Presidents to come into office without having won the most popular votes nationwide. The 2000 and 2016 elections are the most recent examples of elections in which a second-place candidate won. The National Popular Vote bill guarantees the presidency to the candidate who gets the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The bill will take effect when enacted into law by states possessing 270 electoral votes (a majority of the 538 electoral votes). Eleven states (and DC) support it already. This bill (needs) an additional 98 electoral votes. Please let your legislators know that Tennessee stands up for making each vote count by supporting the National Popular Vote bill.
