1. Lausanne (9-0):

Lausanne extended its winning streak to 37 games with a 45-7 win over FACS. Eric Gray had just six carries in his last regular season high school game but managed to rack up 200 yards and four touchdowns by halftime. Sky Forrest was an efficient 6-8 on passing attempts, including a 52-yard touchdown pass. Cameron Sims picked off two passes and ran one back for a touchdown. The Lynx have not lost a game since Nov. 13, 2015.

2. Germantown (10-0):

Germantown completed its second straight undefeated regular season with a 37-19 win over Whitehaven. Ethan Payne threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers for the Red Devils. Germantown is now ranked at No. 2 in the Tennessee 6A rankings according to Maxpreps, trailing only Mt. Juliet.

Horn Lake remained unbeaten last week with a 35-10 win over Tupelo. The Eagles will wrap up the regular season Friday night at home against Southaven. The game will be the final regular season game for Nakobe Dean, who is the top-ranked inside

3. Horn Lake (10-0):

MUS captured the DIIAAA title with a 37-14 win at Christian Brothers in the Commercial Appeal game of the week Friday night. Sellers Shy turned in a stellar performanc­e, throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns (77 and 80 yards apiece), and rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Receivers Maurice Hampton and Thomas Hayden combined for 290 yards on 10 catches and two touchdowns. MUS has now split the last four region titles with Christian Brothers.

Olive Branch beat a good Lafayette team 24-21 on the road Friday night. Dakota Braswell rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Jaylen Adams and E.J Davis combined for six solo tackles and 15 assists. The Conquistad­ors will take on Center Hill on Thursday.

Kirby beat Overton 33-6 on Friday night, stretching its winning streak to six games. The Cougar offense put up 33 points or more for the ninth time this season, showing why it is the region’s top offense in terms of points scored. The Cougar defense also leads the region in points allowed.

8. Christian Brothers (8-2):

Christian Brothers lost to MUS 37-14 at home Friday night. Geno Spiotta and Bill Norton combined for two sacks, 12.5 tackles, and four tackles for loss. Antonio Lay scored a long TD on an end around play. The Purple Wave will face Brentwood Academy in the playoffs.

Whitehaven lost to Germantown 37-19. The Tigers are the only three-loss team in the top 10, but it must be taken into account who the losses are against. Lausanne and Germantown are the top two teams in the area, and North Little Rock is the top-ranked team in Arkansas. The Tigers have beaten everyone else, including Central, Cordova and Fairley.

Fayette Academy prevailed over Jackson Christian with a 42-20 road win. It was the Vikings’ seventh performanc­e of 40 points or better. The only blemish on Fayette Academy’s record is its loss to region-leading Davidson Academy, which was only by a touchdown.
