Incumbents win school board races in Millington
Cecilia “C.J.” Haley, Barbara Halliburton and Larry Jackson won their races for school board in Millington, according to unofficial voting results.
All alderman races in Millington were uncontested. Cody Childress also ran uncontested for position 4 on the board for Millington Municipal Schools.
This will be Haley’s third term on the school board. She is a bookkeeper, according to the Millington Star, and was challenged by Marlon Evans.
Halliburton, who was appointed to a vacancy on the school board in February, is an operations analyst at FedEx Corp., according to the Millington Star. She was challenged by Donald Holsinger, a previous school board member who ran unsuccessfully for alderman in 2016.
Jackson, who was elected to his second term on the school board, is president of the Patriot Bank in Millington and president of Patriot of Tennessee Corp., a bank holding company. He was challenged by Austin Brewer, a student at Christian Brothers University.
