Bruno Mars to provide meals for 24K on Thanksgiving in Hawaii
Bruno Mars will mark the end of his massive “24K Magic World Tour” by providing meals to 24,000 Hawaii residents in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Hawaiian-born singer announced Sunday he has donated money for the food to the Salvation Army’s Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division, which hosts an annual Thanksgiving meal program to help those in need.
Mars performed the final show of his 200-date tour at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on Sunday. It was his third consecutive night at the 50,000-seat venue.
Gerard Butler, Robin Thicke, Shannen Doherty lose homes in wildfires
An intense wildfire raging through Southern California forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, including several celebrities, who are awaiting the fate of their residences.
Gerard Butler called it a “heartbreaking time across California” after learning his home burned to ashes.
“Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating,” the “300” star posted Sunday on Twitter, alongside a picture of him standing in front of the remaining rubble. “Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LAFD.”
“Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed” star Shannen Doherty said her “heart is ripped apart” after she lost the Malibu home where she married her husband in 2011 to flames.
The fast-moving flames also claimed Robin Thicke’s Malibu home. The singer’s pregnant girlfriend, April Love Geary, shared a picture of the couple’s damaged home in an Instagram story. —From wire reports
