Germantown school district names Forest Hill principal
Germantown Municipal School District announced Zac Percoski will be the first principal at Forest Hill Elementary, GMSD’s new school set to open in August.
Percoski currently serves as the principal at Farmington Elementary.
The district opened the position to existing principals first, and Percoski was tapped for the job. He is already familiar with GMSD’s operations, which will be helpful in the new school.
“This decision is bittersweet. I am both sad to be leaving and excited about the opportunities to build a school from the ground up,” Percoski said in a news release from the district.
He said students currently enrolled at Farmington will continue to experience a “worldclass” education. “We are pleased that one of our established principals will be leading our new elementary school,” GMSD Superintendent Jason Manuel said in the release.
“Mr. Percoski brings 13 years of administrative experience and has a proven record of both building positive culture while improving student performance.”
The school will open in August with room for more than 800 students, although the district expects 400 to 500 students its first year.
The district is receiving applications as it looks for Farmington’s next principal.
