$150 burger is part of Peabody Hotel’s 150th anniversar­y celebratio­n

On Wednesday, The Peabody Memphis kicked off its 150th anniversar­y celebratio­n.

The iconic 464-room hotel opened its doors in 1869 and has a rich past intertwine­d with the history of Memphis.

“The South’s Grand Hotel” will celebrate throughout 2019 with a series of special offers and events, including signature anniversar­y food and beverage selections.

At Chez Philippe, the chefs have created the burger of all burgers. Priced at $150, the Royal Wagyu Truffle Burger comes with a brioche bun, butter poached lobster, caramelize­d onion, St. Andre cheese, huckleberr­y aioli and Parmesan black truffle fries. To wash it all down, each order comes with a half bottle of Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon, California 2015.
