Spacey accuser uses right not to testify about phone, messages

The man who accused Kevin Spacey of groping him at a Massachuse­tts resort island bar in 2016 asserted his Fifth Amendment right against self-incriminat­ion and refused to testify Monday after being questioned about text messages the defense claims were deleted.

The man’s decision not to testify caused the judge to question the viability of the case against the Oscar winner, whose career collapsed in 2017 amid sexual misconduct allegation­s.

“Snowfall” co-executive producer and co-creator John Singleton was mourned as cast members of the FX crime drama series gathered for the premiere of the third season.

As they walked the red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday, they remembered the 51-year-old who died following a stroke in late April while the new season was in production.

Star Damson Idris, who portrays a drug dealer, said Singleton left the series in great shape and in good hands. Idris said Singleton “left us with the confidence to go on.”

Freeform supports Halle Bailey’s Ariel casting amid backlash

A Disney-owned cable network has taken aim at critics who disagreed with the decision to cast Halle Bailey as Ariel in the upcoming adaption of “The Little Mermaid.”

Freeform posted an open letter on Sunday in support of Bailey after some on social media used the hashtag #Notmyariel to object to a black woman portraying the red-headed mermaid princess of the animated film.

Bailey is half of the sister duo Chloe x Halle.

Bailey will join Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina in the film.
