Hanks offers update from Australia

Tom Hanks is channeling one of his iconic roles and looking on the bright side while he and wife Rita Wilson are in isolation with coronavirus.

After announcing Wednesday that he and Wilson had been diagnosed with COVID-19 while in Australia as Hanks filmed Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley film (production has since been halted), he offered an Australiathemed photo update over the weekend, featuring a stuffed kangaroo holding an Australian flag, a tiny stuffed koala and two pieces of toast with enormous helpings of Vegemite.

“Thanks to the Helpers. Let’s take care of ourselves and each other,” Hanks captioned the photo, sparking comparisons to a famous quote from Fred Rogers – whom Hanks played in the 2019 film “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.”

Rogers was frequently quoted sharing a story about his mother’s advice to help children watching his show learn to cope during distressing times.

“When I was a little boy and something bad happened in the news, my mother would tell me to look for the helpers,” he once said on the show. “‘You’ll always find people helping,’ she’d say. And I found that that’s true. In fact, it’s one of the best things about our wonderful world.”

Grande on social distancing: ‘Your hip hop yoga class’ can wait

Ariana Grande took to Twitter and pushed her followers to practice social distancing to prevent COVID-19 from spreading.

“Like your hip hop yoga class can (expletive) wait I promise,” she wrote Sunday.

The “7 Rings” artist followed up with a string of tweets about the importance of staying home, noting that people should not be taking the severity of coronavirus lightly.

“It is incredibly dangerous and selfish to take this situation that lightly. The ‘we will be fine because we’re young’ mindset is putting people who aren’t young and/or healthy in a lot of danger,” she wrote in a post. “You sound stupid and privileged and you need to care more about others.”

Klum gets tested, practiced social distancing with family

Heidi Klum was finally able to get her hands on a coronavirus test after feeling ill and leaving a taping of “America’s Got Talent” earlier this week.

As she waits for the results, Klum said she and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who is also feeling ill, are practicing social distancing to prevent each other from getting sicker.

The supermodel posted a video Sunday of her and Kaulitz sharing a kiss with a glass door separating them.

“Like many of you, I also have been sick all week and, unfortunately, my husband who returned from his tour a couple of days ago is also feeling ill. To be safe, we are staying apart until we get the results of our Coronavirus tests (that we were finally able to get today) back. We don’t want to spread germs and risk others getting sicker... even each other,” Klum said in the post.
